Gardening
This is well known for helping children with grounding and being at one with nature. Gardening is connected with many developmental and even psychological benefits for young children. As your child gets their hands muddy whilst digging and pulling weeds, over time, it will help build strength in their hands and fingers.
Nature hike
There is nothing more satisfying than taking a walk. Nature is the biggest playground for children. It offers plenty of discoveries and is the perfect space to encourage curiosity. Whilst walking amongst different ecosystems, you can point out birds and plants that your child has never heard of before and discuss them together.
Outdoor writing
Writing is one of those activities that need a lot of inspiration in order for it to be enjoyable. Sitting in a room surrounded by four walls doesn’t always allow that. Lay a blanket outside and ask your child to take inspiration by what they can see, hear and smell.
Use chalk
